How a commission works
Then you choose the level, then the cloth
Protection level first, because it sets what the garment can be. Then the cloth, the cut and the details. We will tell you where a choice costs you concealment and where it does not.
Then it is built, at our own factory
The panel is cut and the garment is built around it in Boca Raton, where we have made armor since 1992. Nothing is subcontracted and nothing leaves without being checked.

This is the part of Platinum most people do not know exists. You do not have to choose from a catalogue. A suit you had made somewhere else, a coat you wear every day, a uniform. We build certified protection into it and give it back looking like itself.
We will tell you before we start whether a given garment can carry a panel without changing how it hangs. When the answer is no, we say no. Ruining a jacket you love is not a service.
What it stops
Our panels are certified to the United States Department of Justice standard, NIJ 0101.06 and 0101.07. This is the table your security advisor will ask for.

Where it shows, and where it does not
A Level IIIA panel is roughly 4mm thick. Under a tailored jacket it reads as nothing. Under a fitted shirt it reads as a different build. Which of those you get is a design decision we make together at the fitting, not a surprise at delivery.

Questions people actually ask
What does a Platinum commission cost?
Every commission is quoted after the fitting, because the price follows the cloth, the cut and the level of protection you choose. Tell us the garments you have in mind and we will give you a realistic figure before you commit to anything.
How long does it take?
Plan on weeks rather than days. The fitting comes first, then the panel is cut and the garment is built around it at our factory in Boca Raton. We will give you a date at the fitting and we will hold to it.
Can you convert clothes I already own?
Yes, and it is the part of Platinum most people do not expect. Send us a suit or a jacket you already wear and we build protection into it. We will tell you honestly before we start whether a given garment can carry a panel without changing how it hangs. If it cannot, we say so rather than ruin it.
Will anyone be able to tell I am wearing it?
That is the whole design problem, and it depends on the level you choose and the garment it goes into. A Level IIIA panel is roughly 4mm thick. Under a tailored jacket it reads as nothing. We will show you the difference on your own body at the fitting rather than ask you to take it on faith.
Is it certified, or is it just called bulletproof?
Our ballistic panels are certified to the United States Department of Justice NIJ standard, both 0101.06 and 0101.07. Panels are tested at 5m, with 6 impacts per panel under 0101.06 and 7 under 0101.07, and a maximum permitted backface deformation of 44mm. We are also certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
What happens if it is ever hit?
The Survivors Club covers it. If the product is impacted by a projectile or firearm during its service life we repair or replace it free of charge. It exists because it has been needed.
