Choosing concealable vests
Built to disappear
The male ballistic t-shirt and the female ballistic tank top are each built on a 4 mm ballistic panel and weigh under 3 lb. They are made to be worn all day under everyday clothing, with front and back protection. The female tank top is shaped on a female-specific pattern rather than resized from a men's panel.
The bi-functional tank top adds protection against sharp-force threats to the ballistic panel. It is certified to NIJ 0101.06 for ballistic threats and NIJ 0115.00 for stab threats.
Adding side protection
The 360 ballistic cummerbund adds side coverage to tank tops and vests without locking up movement. The female tank top is also offered with side panels as an option.
Protection level and care
These are soft armor garments made for handgun threats. NIJ Level IIIA is designed to stop rounds such as 9mm, .357 SIG, .44 Magnum and .45 ACP. No armor stops every threat. Read the level and the rounds it is tested against before you choose, and let the certification, not the marketing, guide the decision.
Remove the ballistic panel before washing, wash cold and air dry. Ballistic warranties run 8 to 10 years depending on the product and cover the ballistic performance of the panel from the date of purchase. Through the Survivors Club, a garment struck by a projectile in service is repaired or replaced free.
